Ebersolt’s Wheel Room
Here’s a really cool tiny space designed by French architect Gilles Ebersolt. It was inspired by a wheelbarrow and intended to be used for spending a night outside in the greatest comfort. The walls are light curtains. Be sure to explore this architect’s website… there are many tiny structures like this one. I first saw this on This Tiny House.
Don Botsford’s Treehouse
Here’s another great treehouse from the Monday Morning Treehouse series on This Tiny House. It’s the treehouse of Don Botsford in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Don actually has two treehouses on his 20-acre property which he bought back in 1975 and turned into a nature preserve.
Nick Weston’s Treehouse
This is Nick Weston’s home in West Sussex. It’s an experiment in sustainable living, a cozy tree house, and the simple life of a modern hunter-gatherer. Read about Nick’s adventures on his blog at huntergathercook.typepad.com.
This Tiny Life
Hillary and Matt over at This Tiny House had their story told on Apartment Therapy recently. Their tiny house is a small lightweight travel trailer that they are renovating.
Tiny House Survivors and Ghosts
This week there were two posts on two different blogs about historic tiny houses that avoided the wrecking ball and lost the battle against urban development leaving only a shadow of the existence.
Willerby Trailer Restoration
I’ve noticed more and more discussions online centered around the question, what is a tiny house?
I think a home is what you make it so a trailer can make a great tiny house. Tiny houses like Tumbleweeds, Tortoise Shells and Sonoma Shantys are built like houses and will probably stand up to the elements better over the years but little trailers are far more portable. Here’s a story about the restoration of a 1950s trailer.
