Next Generation House
This is a tiny house concept by Sou Fujimoto Architects. It’s designed for weekend use and is a cube 4x4x4 meters in size. The structure is built from cedar blocks held together by verticle metal cables that run through holes in the blocks. The interior is unlike any house you’ve ever seen. Friggebods – Small Swedish Cottages
This is a clever solution that’s intended to avoid the need for obtaining building permits. These small Swedish cottages are less than 150 square feet and designed by Jonas Wagell. They are sold as a simple structure or you can upgrade an include a solar system, kitchen and bath. Read more about Jonas Wagell’s mini house at LittleDiggs. Check your local building codes before building anything without a permit.
Tiny Box House
There are a lot of great ideas built into this 36 square meter house (whic is about 400 square feet). The shutters that protect the large window on the second level is my favorite feature. I think I might add something like that to the tiny house plans I’m drawing over at Tiny House Design.
I also like the variety of materials: rock, concrete, stucco/plaster, wood, and glass. Visit the original article on this box house at LittleDiggs.com. It was designed by architects Alan Chu & Cristiano Kato.
