What is costs to build a tiny house
Now that Dan has passed a major milestone in his tiny house construction project he’s begun to share his construction costs.
1 Hour Design Challenge
Core77 ran a 1-hour design competition looking for designers to spend literally one hour on an emergency shelter concept. I’m not sure if what I came up with is technically a ‘pop-up shelter’ as the competition asks for but it was fun to put this earthbag and pallet hybrid concept together in an hour.
Floating Home
This tiny floating house actually the artwork of Hong Kong artist Kacey Wong. One of my readers, Mark, passed this onto me and I have to say it gave me quite a good laugh. The air conditioner was a nice touch. Thanks again Mark!
Tiny House Reclaimed
Here’s a nice example of how an old house can be brought back to life. It’s 400 square feet and was brought back from the brink of demolition by a company called Reclaimed Space.
Michael Pollan’s Writing House
Michael Pollan is a well known author and has a tiny tiny house garden office where he writes. His most recent book is titled Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual. It’s a really wonderful tiny house and worth a quick look
